HOW IT WORKS

What is Boomshakalocks?

A daily NCAAB analysis engine that crunches real-time stats, head-to-head matchup data, and market lines to surface the most compelling picks each day.

Where does the data come from?

Live team stats, records, and schedules from official sources updated every game day. Market lines are pulled from major sportsbooks via aggregated feeds.

THE PICKS

How is the pick decided?

Each matchup is evaluated through a multi-layered scoring system that weighs offensive and defensive efficiency, recent form, schedule context, and market positioning. The system identifies edges where statistical analysis diverges from the posted lines.

What does confidence mean?

Confidence reflects how strongly the projection deviates from the market consensus. Higher confidence means a wider gap between our evaluation and the posted line. Not a guarantee of outcome.

What's the Coach's Take?

A plain-English summary highlighting the key statistical factors driving the pick. Think of it like a sideline analyst breaking down the matchup in human terms.

THE STATS

How do the head-to-head bars work?

Each bar shows how two teams compare on a given metric. Bars fill from opposite ends in each team's color. The longer the bar, the stronger that team rates on that stat.

STARTERS (MY PICKS)

What is the Starters tab?

Your personal pick slip for the day. Select games from the VS matchup screen, choose a side for ATS or Over/Under, and they appear on your Starters slip. Picks are saved locally and reset each day.

How do I add a pick?

On mobile, swipe up on the VS matchup screen to open the pick modal. On desktop, click the "SELECT PICKS" button above the matchup sprites. Choose one of four options: either side of the spread (ATS) or Over/Under.

Can I remove a pick?

Yes. Open the Starters tab and tap the ✕ next to any pick to remove it from your slip.

What are the live scores?

Once games tip off, your Starters slip shows live scores pulled from ESPN. It auto-refreshes every 60 seconds, or tap the refresh button manually. Each pick shows whether it's currently covering or not.
